The race crowds will get a boost in number for this weekds race as it was announced that the one race ban for Renault has been lifted. This means that Fernando Alonso has been cleared to compete before his countrymen at this weekend's Formula One race in Valencia, Spain.
Ruling body Federation Internationale de l'Automobile overturned a ban on his Renault team for sending his car out from the pit lane with a loose wheel in a race last month. Instead, the ruling body issued Renault with a reprimand and a fine of $50,000.
A few minor track changes have been made to the circuit since the inaugural race last year, with several corners and runoff areas being changed slightly. Hopefully they have also improved the spectacle for the supporters given the amount of poor response as to viewing areas and angels for the 2008 race.
